Great Success for High Valley Post's Veterans 22 Trail Shoot

Darrin Ward - 6/14/2023

The day began promptly at 0900, with participants eager to display their marksmanship skills. The friendly yet competitive atmosphere intensified as the day progressed, with everyone aiming for the top prize – a coveted .22 rifle.

The highlight of the day was Brian Blais, who claimed the top prize with a remarkable score of 50 out of 66 points. His exceptional display of skill and sportsmanship won the admiration of all. Yet, in the spirit of inclusivity that defines the High Valley Post No. 4060, every participant left with a prize, fostering a sense of achievement and camaraderie among all attendees.

To add more to the event, High Valley Post Commander Ed Tibbs was there selling tickets for the Annual Rifle Raffle, raising more than one hundred dollars. Three winners will be chosen at the end of the year to choose from one of the prizes a 20-gauge shotgun, 6.5 credemore, and a pair of binoculars.

After a long day of shooting, our talented cooks offered hotdogs, chips, and beverages to refresh everyone. Their culinary skills enhanced the enjoyment of the day and provided much-needed refreshments for the participants.

Overall, the Veterans 22 Trail Shoot raised three hundred dollars, a substantial increase from previous events, indicating a positive trend and the growing popularity of this annual gathering.

We would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to the local businesses for their generous contributions that greatly contributed to the success of the event.
